Electronics Systems Repair Inspector

The Electronics Systems Repair Inspector is responsible for inspecting, testing, and troubleshooting complex electronic systems, including digital and analog circuits, microprocessors, and computer-controlled systems. This role ensures all repairs and maintenance are performed according to established standards and procedures, while adhering to quality control and safety protocols. The position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to provide technical guidance to electronics mechanics and technicians. The Electronics Systems Repair Inspector also maintains detailed records of inspections, tests, and repairs, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.

Compensation & Benefits:

Estimated Starting Salary Range for Electronics Systems Repair Inspector: Negotiable

Pay commensurate with experience.

Electronics Systems Repair Inspector Responsibilities Include:

  • Inspect and test complex electronic systems, including digital and analog circuits, microprocessors, and computer-controlled systems, to ensure they meet established standards and specifications.
  • Evaluate the work of electronics mechanics, technicians, and other personnel to ensure that repairs and maintenance are performed correctly and in accordance with established procedures.
  • Identify defects, malfunctions, and other problems with electronic systems and equipment, and determine the cause of these issues.
  • Troubleshoot complex electronic systems to diagnose and isolate faults and develop plans for repair or replacement.
  • Ensure that all repairs and maintenance are performed in accordance with quality control standards and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of inspections, tests, and repairs, including documentation of defects, malfunctions, and other issues.
  • Provide technical guidance and assistance to electronics mechanics, technicians, and other personnel on repair and maintenance procedures.
  • Ensure that all work is performed in a safe and efficient manner, and that safety procedures are always followed.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Electronics Systems Repair Inspector Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:

  • Possess a thorough knowledge of electronic systems, including digital and analog circuits, microprocessors, and computer-controlled systems.
  • Be skilled in inspection and testing techniques, including the use of specialized test equipment and diagnostic tools.
  • Possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and isolate complex faults.
  • Have excellent communication skills, with the ability to provide technical guidance and assistance to others.
  • Have a strong understanding of quality control principles and procedures, with the ability to ensure that all work meets established standards.
  • Be aware of safety procedures and protocols, with the ability to ensure that all work is performed in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Work in a variety of environments, including electronics repair shops, laboratories, and field locations.
  • May require standing, walking, bending, and lifting, with the ability to work in cramped or confined spaces.
  • Possess good visual acuity, with the ability to read and interpret complex electronic diagrams and schematics.
  • Possess certification as an Electronics Systems Repair Inspector or can obtain certification within a specified timeframe.
  • May require a security clearance, depending on the specific requirements of the position.
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
