Retirement & Wellbeing Lead, Human Resources
The Vice President, Retirement & Wellbeing Lead is responsible for the administration, communication and compliance of Comerica's retirement and wellbeing programs. This role is the primary vendor manager for 401(k) recordkeeper and financial wellness provider and will closely collaborate with other functions within HR (e.g. payroll, HRIS, corporate communications, etc).

  • Proven ability to create and deliver reports, updates, and presentations
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Must possess critical thinking skills to make decisions and solve complex problems


Position Responsibilities:


  • Provide day-to-day administration of the 401(k) plan, including the accuracy and timely funding of contributions in collaboration with Payroll, daily monitoring of required tasks in the administrative system, and ensure compliance with all mandated rules and regulation.
  • Ensure annual plan activities occur timely and accurately and that the qualified status of the plans remain intact.
  • Ensure effective administration, communication and strategy for retirement and wellbeing programs, including pension, 401(k) , EAP, financial wellness and other lifestyle management programs to drive proper utilization and benefits education.
  • Responsible for resolving all employee escalations and questions around pension and 401(k) plans.
  • Collaboration with subject matter experts to set strategy and execution of the communication of benefits information across delivery platforms (e.g. Colleague Connect,
  • Benefit Connect, SharePoint, e-mail.
  • Other duties, as assigned.

Position Qualifications:


  • Bachelor' Degree from an accredited university or in lieu of a bachelor's degree, a High School Diploma or GED and 6 years of related experience
  • 5 years of experience in a benefits department
  • 4 years of experience working with retirement plans, preferably both pension and 401(k) plans
  • 3 years of experience in project management
  • 3 years of experience in vendor management
  • CEB (Certified Employee Benefits Specialist, preferred

Work Best Category: Category C - Days in the office will either be designated days or will vary week to week from 2-5 days Hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm Monday - Friday. This position includes onsite and remote work days. Salary: To Be Determined Based on Individual Experience
