Summary: In this role, you will provide executive leadership in designing, implementing, and managing strategic programs that meet the evolving needs of Vizient customers. Vizient Core Tenets include Price and Supply Assurance, Supplier Diversity, Sustainability and Supplier Performance Management. This role will oversee the Core Tenet programs, focusing on driving innovation, differentiation, and operational excellence within Vizient's spend management services. The Vice President will act as a strategic leader, thought partner, and advocate for both internal and external stakeholders, aligning organizational goals with customer needs and market opportunities. Responsibilities:
Program Strategy and Leadership: Develop and execute strategic plans and objectives for Core Tenet programs, aligning with customer needs and market dynamics, while integrating these programs with category-managed services, delivery teams, and enterprise partners such as analytics, supplier performance, and centers of excellence (COEs). Innovation and Scalability: Drive continuous process improvements to ensure program scalability, operational efficiency, and market alignment, while developing and implementing innovative solutions to enhance the program's value proposition and competitive differentiation. Program Development and Process Optimization: Lead the development and execution of policies and procedures to drive member participation, program implementation, and engagement, while continuously improving processes, training, and systems to ensure scalability, quality, and operational excellence. Recruitment and Advocacy: Oversee program recruitment efforts, including sales pipeline management in collaboration with category and delivery teams, while effectively communicating program value to providers, suppliers, and stakeholders to build strong relationships and secure commitment. Operational Excellence and Reporting: Ensure accurate tracking and reporting of program objectives using business intelligence tools to create key metrics and reports, while managing annual budgeting, monthly forecasting, and collaborating with Finance and Accounting teams to maintain financial health and alignment with organizational goals. Thought Leadership and Representation: Act as a subject matter expert and spokesperson for Core Tenet programs within the healthcare industry, educating providers, suppliers, and internal teams on their significance in addressing healthcare challenges. Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitate provider, supplier, and internal advisory councils to foster collaboration and alignment, while building and maintaining relationships with industry advocacy groups to enhance program visibility and impact. Commercial Strategy Development: Develop and implement commercial strategies in coordination with other Vizient offerings to improve program effectiveness, marketability, and growth, while monitoring market trends, technology advancements, and competitive landscapes to identify opportunities for innovation and expansion. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure seamless program integration across the enterprise, collaborating with key departments such as analytics, marketing, contracting COEs, delivery operations, and supplier performance to align objectives and execution. Member and Supplier Advocacy: Advocate for member organizations by addressing supply chain challenges, responding to customer needs, and driving cost reduction opportunities, while fostering long-term partnerships and building member loyalty through differentiated value delivery.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare administration, or a related field desired; advanced degree preferred. 10 or more years relevant experience required. Extensive leadership experience in program development, supply chain management, or healthcare-related industries. Proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional programs with a focus on innovation, scalability, and operational excellence. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders. Strong strategic planning, financial acumen, and analytical capabilities. Expertise in navigating competitive markets and identifying opportunities for differentiation and growth. Willingness to travel.
Estimated Hiring Range: At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $187,800.00 to $348,300.00.
