About the Role:

As the Director of Sourcing & Program Design, you'll be the visionary senior leader who transforms ideas into unforgettable experiences for our clients. You'll guide a dynamic team at The Collective & Venue Search, ensuring we stay ahead of the curve in a competitive industry. Your mission? To innovate, strategize, and deliver exceptional event solutions that resonate with our customers' goals and budgets.Sourcing & Program Design is both an art and a science, and as the leader of this team, this role makes sure their team has the tools and training they need to be successful, and keeps us on the forefront of the competition for creativity, value and efficiency. You're Good At:

• Drivinginnovation and ideation internally and in our conversations with clients torecommend best destinations, properties, and experiences to meet their goals and messaging for strong ROI.
• Setting and achieving organizational goals, budgets, and staffing plans. This is a senior leadership position in a people-first organization, and this role has a high impact on driving and maintaining our culture.
• Managing P&L and profitability with a keen eye for detail, and identifying areas of growth.
• Business development:including identifying and pursuing growth opportunities in with new clients, as well as continued growth and satisfaction with our legacy client base.
• Navigating complex issues and finding quick resolutions while maintaining strong relationships.
• Implementingnew policies, procedures and task forces to ensure efficiencies in our work.

You Should also Have:

• A knack for evaluating and implementing customized solutions for clients within the meetings & events industry. Our team is on the cutting edge.
• Strong consultative skills to elevate services and strategic thinking. You are a trusted partner with solid relationship management skills.
• A passion for staying updated on event and incentive trends and bringing satisfaction to our clients.
• A proactive approach to identifying new ideas and partnerships in the industry.
• The ability to lead a highly successful team, support growth and mentor team members.

We're looking for candidates that have:

• 10+ years of experience in sourcing for small to large-scale programs, including high-touch events.
• 10+ years of experiencein operations/account/client management.
• 5+ years of experience in leading a team and managing workloads.
• 10+ years experience managing outside vendors, sourcing and negotiating contract services.
• Expertise in MS Office Applications, Cvent, Monday.com and Adobe Creative

You should know:

• This role is virtual for candidates located in the US, and will operate in the Central Time Zone. If you are located in Chicago, the preference would be for this to be hybrid.
• This role will require domestic or international travel

We carefully consider a wide range of compensation factors, including your professional background and experience. The salary range for candidates in applicable jurisdictions in the US for the position of Director, Sourcing & Program Design is between $90,000 - $120,000 The actual pay depends on your skills, qualifications, experience, geographical location, and project budget.
