Laser Welding Operator

Staffmark is seeking new talent in South Windsor, CT, and hiring an experienced Laser Welding Operator for our client who has earned a phenomenal reputation for welding complex assemblies while providing quality work. Pay: $20-$35 per hour (Based on experience)

1st Shift Hours: 6 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday-Friday

Essential Functions:

• Performs required operations on laser welder, including loading and unloading of parts, part inspection, cleaning, and performing preventive maintenance and minor adjustments of assigned equipment.
• Utilizes micrometers, gauges, various power tools, computers, etc.
• Prepares various logs and records to document laser welder operation and daily production.
• Moves/transports parts to appropriate locations as needed.
• Receives, reviews, and /or refers to various records or reports including travelers, shift reports, SOP, safety sheets, etc.
• Prepares labor sheets and non-conformance forms.
• Performs data entry tasks and maintains safe, clean, and orderly work areas.
• Collaborates with various groups and individuals including the immediate supervisor, co-workers, and other shop personnel.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent (documentation required).
• 2+ years of related work experience.
• Strong analytical, writing, math, and interpersonal skills.
• Exceptional vision.
• Capable of reading micrometers and dial calipers accurately.
• Ability to remain active throughout each shift and frequently lift 50 pounds.
