Facilities Maintenance Supervisor
The Facilities Maintenance Supervisor supervises the maintenance programs and processes to ensure timely and effective production. You will coordinate with other management staff to ensure efficiency in preventative maintenance and new equipment installation. In addition, you will oversee facilities design and inspection, equipment repair, and installation.
What you will do as a Facilities Maintenance Supervisor:
- Provide expert knowledge, instruction, and oversight to the Maintenance Team in their performance Plan, estimate and oversee maintenance related and support maintenance staff.
- Oversees facilities design and inspection, equipment repair, and installation.
- Train and guide Technicians during the introduction of new production items.
- Assist with training Maintenance personnel to ensure Company and department policies and procedures adherence.
- Lead work over various technicians. This includes but is not limited to, ensuring production lines are running, filling in for employee breaks as needed, troubleshooting minor problems with equipment and parts, providing all tracked information (counts, scrap, etc.), making suggestions regarding employee issues (merit, disciplinary, etc.), and making suggestions regarding process improvements/changes.
- Measure PM rates and utilization times with proper documentation to management.
- Maintain the Maintenance Work Order system and generate work orders for all maintenance requests for the machinery, facilities, or equipment.
- Point person who maintains an orderly inventory of parts and tools and as needed, shall work with outside vendors to acquire competitive bids for equipment, materials, and supplies.
- Drives optimum employee performance, talent, and talent development. Provides growth, training, and development opportunities to employees.
- Drives results through effective coaching, and counselling of staff and setting meaningful and measurable goals.
- Facilitates a safety culture, performs safety audits to ensure proper use and condition of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), machines, and safeguards, trains individuals on safety procedures and expectations, leads investigations of near misses/incidents, and implements safety and ergonomics improvements.
- Drives optimum employee performance, talent, and talent development. Provides growth, training, and development opportunities to employees.
- Drives results through effective coaching and counseling of staff and setting meaningful and measurable goals.
- Champions idea generation system across departments by supporting team members in generating and implementing ideas.
- Ensures idea generation board is updated and best ideas implemented are presented weekly to facility management.
- Evaluate performance and escalate needs through proper management and coaching of team members regarding SQDC board meetings and daily standard reports (daily production, material requirements, etc.).
- Challenges current state, seeking opportunities to make incremental improvements daily and identifying solutions to remove waste from production activities.
- Evaluate problematic systems or facilities and determine the installation or repair services needed.
The Experience, Skills, and Abilities Needed:
Required:
- Associate's Degree.
- Plus four (4) years of relevant maintenance experience with manufacturing equipment repair.
- OR High School Diploma
- Plus eight (8) years of relevant maintenance experience with manufacturing equipment repair.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Team Lead / Supervisory experience.
- Advanced PLC programming, and robotics experience.
- Electrical Certifications.
Other:

Work Schedule:
- This is an onsite schedule position based in Maplewood, MO.
- The schedule is 9 hour dayshift M-Th, 4 hour mornings F.
- Up to 10% domestic travel.
