Account Manager

Company Mission: Assure customer satisfaction by the timely design, development, manufacturing, and support of cost effective, reliable hoists, winches, cargo hooks, weapons handling systems, motion control and equipment for the aerospace and defense markets.

Organization: As a part of the Sales Team, you are currently assigned to a territory or group of customers. Your facilitation and day-to-day support of the customer is critical to the success of the organization.

Team Mission: Facilitate outstanding customer support through the appropriate management and execution of sales and marketing of products and solutions, business development, contract support, training, and the administrative management of repairs, overhauls, and product quality issues.

Customer/Territory: Your customers consist of Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), Authorized Service Centers, Department(s)/Ministries of Defense, and civilian/civil companies. Your first area of responsibility (AOR) will be assigned during your training schedule.



Primary Functional Areas:Perform the roles and responsibilities of Sales and Account Management:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact with customers in assigned territory facilitating support on purchase orders, quotes, contractual issues, and general communications both internal to Breeze-Eastern and external in support of the previous listed items. This includes new production, spare components, overhaul &
  • Monitor and track performance against the Company's contractual objectives and obligations. Maintain internal metrics and monitor customer metrics to ensure that Breeze-Eastern maintains a positive reputation with the customer base.
  • Maintain accurate records of current and past contractual transactions as required by law, customer requirements, and/or internal requirements.
  • Support and advise the management team in actively monitoring performance trends that affect present or future business with the customers and alerts management of positive and negative changes.
  • Acts as a back-up on adjacent territories in the event of the absence of a team member, in the case of overflow work, or transferred accounts from one individual to another.
  • Lead business development efforts on new business opportunities within your customer base. This will involve presenting corporate capabilities and customer solutions, participating in decision gate reviews, responding to solicitations for new products, meeting new customers, or drafting/sending proposals.
  • Serve as an internal consultant for process improvements in support of the customer and of Breeze-Eastern.
  • Represent Breeze-Eastern both internally and externally as a brand ambassador.
  • Support cross-functional team with direct and indirect actions and collaboration between Sales, Engineering, Operations, or Finance/Back-office teams to meet customer needs.

Supervision Received, Exercised and Contacts: This position is a non-supervisory role. The position reports to the Vice President of Sales with a dotted line to the Business Unit Managers. You are authorized to communicate directly with the customers and are expected to provide timely and accurate answers to the customer's questions. You will be observed during your daily tasks and will have many informal meetings with management. You will frequently have formal discussions regarding your performance and goals.

In addition, you are authorized to negotiate with customers on contractual T&C's and prices only when specifically stated by your management team. The position requires interaction on a daily basis with all areas of Breeze-Eastern team in order to coordinate responses to customer requests and/or issues.

Responses must be in conjunction with and consistent with communication from other forms of Breeze-Eastern to the customer.

During these opportunities, you are expected to ask as many questions as possible to learn as much as you can about what the other functional areas do within the company. You will have the ability to progress within our team as the organization evolves as well as positions within Operations, Engineering, or Finance.

Minimum Requirements: Demonstrates initiative, professionalism, integrity, decisiveness and the ability to work independently.



  • Requires experience in a role that focuses on interaction with customers, purchase order processing, contract administration, logistics, order entry, and/or order book management in an aerospace/military/defense environment.
  • Knowledge of military contracts, processes, procedures, and aviation
  • Strong computer skills with MS Office, databases and knowledge of ERP systems, experience with IFS is a plus.
  • Ability to travel to the assigned geographic region 50% or greater is
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Technical Discipline
  • Military experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of Aerospace products, MRO, aircraft maintenance, or aircraft parts manufacturing strongly preferred.
