Sr. MRI Research Tech

Neurology

Part Time

83250BR

Job Summary

**This position will be located at the Sandler Neurosciences Building @ UCSF. It is a limited appointment that will end one-year from the date of hire. Preference for our ideal candidate is to have Thursday/Friday availability for the operational needs.

The Department of Neurology is looking for an MRI technologist to support research scanning efforts. Position is part time (a few days per month, often for vacation coverage). A great 'pick up some low-stress extra hours here and there' for a veteran tech or a consistent part time chance to get exposed to things outside the typical clinical realm.
This work is in the neurology department, working on a Siemens 3T scanner supporting clinical trials and investigator led studies predominantly in Multiple Sclerosis and Parkinson's Disease.

The patients here are volunteering their time to support science, so a customer care orientation is important. The science depends on precision, so being able to pay attention to details is needed. The opportunity to have an impact at both an individual and a system-wide level is rare, so this is a situation where you can really shine.

The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.

Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.

The salary range for this position is $73.07 - $90.87 (Hourly Rate).
