As a part of a diverse community of faculty and staff who represent many faith systems and worldviews, Marian University seeks an Assistant Director of Admission Guest Experience to promote our Catholic Franciscan mission and identity by coordinating and overseeing all components of the campus guest experience.

The Assistant Director ensures exceptional service for visiting undergraduate prospective students and families as they consider the university. In addition, the manager is responsible for collaborating with the Assistant Director of Undergraduate Events and Engagement and the Director of Undergraduate Admission in supervising student personnel in office duties and guided tours of campus. The manager needs to be professional, prompt, and personable to visitors, students, parents, school officials and staff.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Actively engage the Catholic Franciscan mission and identity of Marian University by modeling the Franciscan Sponsorship Values and honoring the legacy of the founding congregation through transformative education, unity in diversity, leadership through service, integrating faith and life, and institutional policies.
  • Manages and schedules the visits of prospective undergraduate students and their guests to campus with faculty, staff, and recruiting partners.
  • Serves as the primary greeter for visiting students and families, creating a welcoming environment conducive to a college admission setting.
  • Assists with the training and scheduling of the Marian Ambassadors.
  • Creates a system for informing admission counselors of pending/scheduled visits, related details, etc.
  • Regularly advises supervisor of opportunities for campus guest program improvement.
  • Support the Assistant Director of Admission Events and Engagement with event preparation.
  • Schedules university department update meetings for the office.
  • Coordinates facility needs within the Wheeler-Stokely Mansion by submitting work orders and orders for office supplies.
  • Manage and coordinate content for undergraduate social media.
  • Undergraduate Admission office lead for New Student Orientation (in collaboration with First Year Experience)
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Undergraduate Admission


Required Qualifications:



  • Knowledge of offerings and commitment to the mission of Marian University's Ancilla College.
  • Excellent customer service, presentation, verbal/written communication, and organization skills.
  • The ability to interact effectively with students, parents, faculty, staff, and external constituents.
  • An elevated level of energy, self-motivative and results oriented.
  • The ability to think critically and solve complex problems.
  • A high degree of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Understanding of and belief in the Marian University vision, mission, and guiding principles.
  • Ability to collaborate well with individuals with diverse backgrounds.
  • Prior admission experience with high school and young adults preferred.
