ASML US is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our US General Accounting team. As part of the general accounting team, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records, contributing to the end-to-end global financial processes of our organization. This position offers the opportunity to join a dynamic team, part of an international, cutting-edge organization.

Job Description

  • Support the end-to-end capex processes for US entities, ensuring that capex flows are seamlessly executed and in compliance with company policy, accounting standards ASC 360 and US legal and tax policies - e.g., use tax, property tax, nexus, and intercompany processes.
  • Work with global stakeholders on capex process execution, as well as with US business and US expert advisory stakeholders to identify opportunities and risks to improve the overall end-to-end capex process.
  • Support month-end close procedures by posting journal entries with appropriate backup and ensuring accounts are reconciled with appropriate support and in accordance with US GAAP principles.
  • Manage US government compliance reporting by reporting on consolidated results for US entities across varies legal entities and ERP environments. Work to streamline reporting processes.
  • Prepare and maintain account reconciliations, analyze general ledger monthly fluctuations and variances.
  • Drive stakeholder management with the global financial operations team members, regional business controllers and end business users.
  • Drive process improvements and assist on special projects.
  • Comply and assist with internal and external audit requests by providing appropriate documentation and information, as requested.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting/Finance required
  • CPA and/or Master's Degree in Accounting/Finance preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in public accounting and/or large multi-national corporations preferred.
  • Experience with SAP and multiple ERP environments preferred.

  • Understanding of US GAAP standards
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and follow through on assignments with minimal supervision
  • Ability to prioritize and carry critical tasks and improvements to completion.
  • Ability to evaluate and streamline process improvements.
  • Work in a team environment and demonstrate ability to collaborate cross functionally.
  • Communicate professionally with colleagues around the US as well as internationally
  • Propensity to be a self-starter and results driven.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with Excel

Travel

  • May require travel dependent on business needs.

Other Information

  • It requires onsite presence to attend in-person work-related events, trainings and meetings and to further ensure teamwork, collaboration and innovation.
  • A flexible workplace arrangement may be available to employees working in roles conducive to remote work (up to two days a week).

Responsibilities

  • Routinely required to sit; walk; talk; hear; use hands to keyboard, finger, handle, and feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, and stretch. Occasionally required to move around the campus.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
  • May require travel (specify domestic and/or international) dependent on business needs.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
