Department Description

The UCSF Bayfront Operating Room (OR) consists of 14 surgical suites and 2 procedural rooms with 23 hours surgical stay facility. Our primary focus is multidisciplinary team-based approach and staffing, advanced technology, including integrated suites and robotic surgery.

Services include, but are not limited to: Ophthalmology, Otolaryngology, Head and Neck (OHNS), Urology, Benign Gynecology, Plastics, Pain Service, and General Surgery with Robotics.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum two years of recent RN clinical experience in an adult operating room, (in-patient or out-patient setting)
• This position requires flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations.
• Possession of the legal requirements to practice as a Registered Nurse as determined by the California Board of Registered Nursing and knowledges and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position. BSN preferred.
• Proficiency, ability to independently circulate, in at least three of the following services: Pain/Spine, Ophthalmology, GYN, GU, General Surgery, OHNS, Robotics and Plastics.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficient in Scrubbing role in at least 2 of services listed above.
• CNOR

License/Certification

• Active Registered Nurse licensure in the State of California
• Active American Heart Association CPR Certification
