Planned Parenthood of Greater Ohio is seeking a full-time (37.5 Hours) mission-minded Systems Technician. Must reside in Ohio (preferably the Columbus area) prior to start date.

SUMMARY

The Systems Technician's primary role is to ensure proper computer and peripheral operation so that end users can accomplish business tasks. This includes being the first level of support and response to end users' technology help and trouble tickets submitted. The goal is to properly communicate and resolve technology issues within the documented Service Level Agreement (SLA) or to raise the ticket to a senior level technician. Working with end users and other technology projects will involve working both remotely and onsite when dictated by the situation.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING




  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • A degree or certification in IT or a related field is a plus.
  • Customer service-oriented with a friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations and able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Capability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Skilled in mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.



WHAT YOU WILL DO



  • Communicate clearly and effectively with internal staff and third-party vendors
  • Comply with all state and federal regulations including but not limited to HIPPA, OSHA, etc.
  • Record, track and document the service desk request problem-solving process, including all successful and unsuccessful decisions made, and actions taken, through to final resolution.
  • Provide first-line technical support to clients via phone, email, or in person.
  • Focus on the Onboarding of new employees and Offboarding of prior employees
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, diagnosing and resolving problems.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, printers, and other IT equipment.
  • Assist with user account management, password resets, and access permissions.
  • Set up and support video conferencing and other communication tools.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as system updates and data backups.
  • Assist with network maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with senior IT technicians on complex technical issues.
  • Document support activities and solutions for future reference.
  • Stay current with industry trends and technologies to provide up-to-date assistance to clients.
  • Other technology duties as assigned by the Director of IT or the Senior Leadership Team
