About the Role

Culmen is seeking a Senior Logistics Advisor to consult on global logistics specifically in the African region. This Department of State contract supports U.S. foreign policy goals throughout the world through a variety of programs and policies designed to bolster peace, security and regional stability.



What You'll Do in Your New Role

The Logistics Advisor will provide the host nation with the necessary logistics, maintenance, and supply chain management advisory services to support its national security strategy.

The Logistics Advisor will build a work plan and coordinate with partner nation military personnel and stakeholders.

The Advisor will provide logistics, maintenance, and supply advisory services. Assist the host nation in implementing new systems, maintaining a list of requirements, improving logistics capabilities, and developing standard operating procedures (SOPs). Propose recommendations for operational readiness and support sustainable improvements in training.

The Advisor will assist with inventory management, including receiving and tracking equipment and supplies. Support the host nation in enhancing its inventory management system and ensuring routine status reporting. Develop standardized Shipping Reports and mentor personnel on Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and related topics.



Required Qualifications

    Bachelor's Degree with a concentration in logistics, supply chain management, research and evaluation, or other related fields.
  • 3+ years of experience working in a sub-Saharan Africa partner nation as a logistics advisor to partner nation military forces.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in a U.S. military logistics career field within a Battalion (S-4) section or equivalent level, with a minimum of 2 years at the Brigade or equivalent staff level.
  • 4+ years of experience with supply sourcing systems and military resourcing systems.
  • Proven adherence to quality standards and successful delivery of program deliverables.
  • Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively work with customers and clients, including responding to cost and technical tasks, monitoring contract and task order performance, and implementing necessary course corrections.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, including Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Excel (advanced), and SharePoint. Examples of advanced skills should include presentation development, writing policies and procedures, using formulas and functions, data visualization, creating pivot tables, and working with macros or VBA language. Certification in Microsoft Office from an industry-recognized provider (e.g., Certiport, Coursera, etc.) is required.
  • Demonstrated fluency in the English language (both spoken and written). If English is not the native language, certification in English from an industry-recognized provider (e.g., TOEFL, IELTS, etc.) is required.
  • Experience in summarizing complex technical and programmatic issues concisely for the U.S. government is essential.
  • A minimum of a Secret clearance is required, with a Top-Secret clearance preferred.

The determination of compensation at Culmen International, LLC is based on various factors such as location, the individual's unique combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, clearance level, experience, internal equity, contract-specific affordability, and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $108,000 - $136,000 annually. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Culmen's total compensation package for employees.
