What you'll do

We are looking for an extraordinary Vice President of Product Planning and Business Operations to provide strategic counsel and support to Docusign's Executive Vice President of Product. In this operations and planning-oriented role, you will optimize leadership impact, drive critical initiatives, and communicate the Product organization's priorities across the company. If you have a proven track record of cultivating trust, thinking strategically and executing tactically, chances are that this role is for you. Together with the Product leadership team, you will play a critical role to unlock the potential of the entire organization by introducing new operating rhythms, revenue optimization programs, and new ways of working. This is a high-leverage role that serves as an enabler for revenue growth and operating efficiency for Docusign, and requires excellent communication, project management, and leadership skills.

This position is a people manager role reporting to the EVP, Chief Product Officer.

Responsibility

  • Act as a trusted advisor and partner to the CPO, aligning department goals with company vision and strategic priorities.
  • Facilitate planning, prioritization, and execution of pivotal initiatives within Product, ensuring alignment with business goals and timelines.
  • Represent the priorities of the Product organization to partners throughout the company, accelerating engagement and consensus on top priorities
  • Diagnose and implement process improvements including automation, communications, and cross-team collaboration to optimize the overall success of the team
  • Develop and improve operational systems and reviews to drive progress on the organization's objectives, and drive critical initiatives that span the Product organization and adjacent teams
  • Partner with FP&A, Strategy, and Analytics teams to facilitate budgeting processes, establishing a clear link between strategic goals and budget allocation and return on investment (ROI)
  • Create, plan, and facilitate staff meetings to accomplish clear and effective decision making, tracking, and reporting on follow-up actions
  • Manage preparation of presentations, key messages and speaking notes, including agendas for team Town Hall meetings, leadership meetings and off-sites
  • Test and learn new ways of working, practices, and rituals in order to foster a thriving culture of teamwork
Job Designation

Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation)

What you bring

Basic

  • BS/BA college degree required
  • 15+ years of experience in technology, SaaS, or high-Technology businesses paired with experience in corporate strategy, business operations, or management consulting
  • 10+ years in a senior leadership role

Preferred

  • MBA Preferred
  • Deep analytical and problem-solving skills, and comfort using a data-driven approach to solving problems
  • Passion for innovation and catalyzing Technology; interest in gaining experience as part of the leadership team
  • Familiarity with GTM organizations, within or across marketing, Technology, or sales functions
  • Strong understanding of engineering, product development, and technology processes in high-growth or large-scale organizations
  • Proficient in project management tools and methodologies like Agile, Scrum, and Lean, and skilled in making data-driven decisions
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to anticipate challenges and implement effective solutions
Wage Transparency

Pay for this position is based on a number of factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations:

California: $224,800.00 - $360,050.00 base salary

Illinois and Colorado: $210,400.00 - $297,175.00 base salary

Washington, New Jersey and New York (including NYC metro area): $210,400.00 - $317,575.00 base salary

This role is also eligible for the following:

  • Bonus: Sales personnel are eligible for variable incentive pay dependent on their achievement of pre-established sales goals. Non-Sales roles are eligible for a company bonus plan, which is calculated as a percentage of eligible wages and dependent on company performance.
  • Stock: This role is eligible to receive Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
