The Job
At our 22 race events, this position is primarily responsible for driving our trucks to events and for assisting with race operations once they arrive at the venue. This will include but is not limited to assisting our emergency team with fire and rescue operations; track prep and clean up as needed; and help with track preparations for our national event premier series.

FLSA/SALARY: Exempt
REPORTS TO: Director of Safety & Emergency Services

Minimum Skills/Experience
  • High School Diploma is preferred.
  • Must be able to read, write, communicate, and understand English.
  • Experience driving a commercial vehicle is highly desirable.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and be insurable under the company's policy.
  • If needed, must be able to be enrolled in a CDL class, at the company's expense, and pass the CDL test to obtain a license within the first 3 months of hire into this position.
  • Must be able to maintain the CDL license on an ongoing basis.
  • Must have or be able to apply for an active SFI Incident Response Certification and air brake endorsement.
  • Must have prior work experience with NHRA, preferably in the racing operations area.
  • Must be available to work non-business hours, including weekends as needed.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft for email and expense reports is preferred.
  • Must have the ability to follow established procedures associated with the specific job function.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Strong organization and time-management skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with sponsors and colleagues in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, push, run or lift as needed.
  • Able to lift 40-60 lbs.
  • Must be able to travel nationwide via road or air.
  • Ability to talk on the phone as needed.
  • Must be able to be flexible with meal periods.
  • Must be able to work outdoors 12-14+ hours - sometimes in extreme temperatures.
