We are Tennis! The USTA (United States Tennis Association) is the national governing body for the sport of tennis and the leader in promoting and developing the sport's growth on every level in the United States, from local communities to the crown jewel of the professional game, the US Open.

The Role

This is an 8-week program from June 10th through August 13th.

Working hours: Monday-Thursday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST

Hybrid schedule: Must be capable to work on-site 2-3 days per week at the National Campus - Orlando.

Hourly rate: $16.00

The Youth Tennis Intern will support the development, coordination, and execution of a variety of youth tennis programs, with a primary focus on the RCX Youth Team League, Junior Circuit operations, and US Open initiatives. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in event planning, logistics, communication, and program development. The intern will assist with event support, logistical coordination, refining program materials, and ensuring the smooth operation of youth tennis programs.

    Assist in the coordination and execution of youth tennis events, including the RCX Youth Team League, Junior Circuit tournaments, and US Open-related initiatives.
  • Provide logistical support for events, including venue coordination, equipment management, and volunteer oversight.
  • Collaborate with the youth team to develop and refine program materials, including presentations, decks, and templates.
  • Help with event promotions and communications, including drafting content for emails, social media, and program updates.
  • Assist with data collection and reporting for youth tennis events and programs.
  • Support ongoing initiatives to improve the experience for young players and coaches participating in various youth tennis leagues and tournaments.
  • Provide general administrative support to the youth tennis department as needed.
Who You Are
  • Strong interest in tennis and youth sports development, with a passion for helping young athletes succeed.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both internal teams and external partners.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to handle event logistics and provide support under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Previous experience in sports event planning, youth programs, or tennis-related roles.
  • Familiarity with event management tools and software.
  • Experience with social media and content creation for event promotion.
  • Knowledge of tennis and understanding of youth sports development is a plus.
