Social Worker-Inpatient Behavioral Health

The Social Worker - Inpatient Behavioral Health is responsible for performing clinical social work functions and some social services case work and discharge planning activities for clients on Cooley Dickinson's Behavioral Health Unit (West 5) and their family members. Assessing and addressing clinical treatment goals while an inpatient, and establishing liaisons with community providers and other hospital programs are essential components of this position to achieve continuity of care. The Social Worker also provides other clinical services which may include: family education, bio-psychosocial assessments, groups and other aspects of treatment planning and implementation. This position reports to the Assistant Clinical Manager, Behavioral Health and operates within established organizational and departmental policies and procedures.

- Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited school of social work required - Current licensure as a Certified Social Worker (LICSW) in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts required - Current CPR certification required - CPI certification required within 90 days - Five (5) years experience in a social work setting and in mental health required, experience in addictions preferred - Current Massachusetts driver's license, good driving record, and access to reliable transportation required
