TheExercise physiologist (EP)will support the clinical and research activities of the Heart Failure, Cardiac Transplantation and LVAD programs by administering cardiopulmonary exercise tests, 6 minute walk tests, and other related evaluations, as directed by the attending physicians. The EP will also conduct exercise testing in collaboration with the physicians during right heart catheterizations and will be responsible for all administrative work processes associated with such testing. The EP is expected to function independently, and maintain a safe and fully functional laboratory in compliance with Montefiore's regulations. Requirements/ Qualifications Bachelors degree BS in Exercise Physiology strongly Preferred Certification by the National Academy of Sport Medicine Preferred ACLS certification BLS certification ACSM Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist Exam Bloodborne Pathogens Training Certification Superior written and oral communication skills Bilingual a plus Department: Cardiology Bargaining Unit:Non UnionCampus:MOSES Employment Status:Regular Full-TimeAddress:3400 Bainbridge Avenue, Bronx For positions that have only a rate listed, the displayedrate is the hiringrate but could be subject to change based on shift differential, experience, education or other relevant factors.
