Overview
The Vermont Agency of Education (AOE) seeks a skilled and experienced Education Medicaid Director to lead the external-facing operations of the School-Based Health Services (SBHS) program. This program expert-level position involves management, supervision, and technical oversight of all aspects of SBHS services provided by Vermont school districts. The director ensures compliance with state and federal regulations, oversees program operations, and supervises the team of Education Medicaid Specialists. This role involves developing policies, managing grants and claims, conducting audits, and providing expert testimony to the Legislature when required. Significant interaction with state and federal Medicaid personnel, school staff, and other stakeholders is a key component of the position. Key Responsibilities:

Duties are generally performed in a standard office setting but there will be some travel required for which private means of transportation must be available. Work involves dealing with a wide variety of people and groups with diverse and strongly held opinions. Minimum Qualifications
Four (4) years or more of experience with Medicaid or other health insurance, school-based health services, state/federal program compliance, or related field INCLUDING one (1) year or more of supervisory, management, or team lead experience. Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, education, public administration, or human services. Experience in accounting or financial management. Total Compensation
