Job Description

Omni Tempe Hotel at ASU is seeking a Laundry Attendant to join the team of our housekeeping department by managing the laundry operation. We are looking for someone with a great attitude who is detail oriented and hard-working.



Responsibilities

    Ensure linen rooms on each floor are properly stocked.
  • Ensure linen rooms are clean and organized.
  • Delivery linen, terry, and housekeeping items to Room Attendants.
  • Participate in monthly inventories.
  • Deliver requested guest items when needed.
  • Assist with sorting soiled linen as needed.
  • Assist with moving linen carts to and from the loading dock as needed.
  • Understand both Housekeeping and Houseperson positions well enough to perform duties in associates' absence.
  • Maintain highest levels of cleanliness throughout the hotel property.
  • Complete daily and weekly cleaning projects as assigned.
  • Anticipate, listen, and follow through with all the guests' requests in a timely manner.
  • Communicate any needs or concerns within the hotel with the appropriate departments.
  • Follow all Loss Prevention procedures regarding guest property, safety, and security. Reporting any concerns to department managers or loss prevention in a timely manner.
  • Attend all designated staff meetings and training sessions.


Qualifications

  • Maintain a professional business appearance, attitude, and performance.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
  • Move, bend, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 100 pounds without assistance.
  • Stand, walk or sit for an extended period or for an entire work shift.
  • Requires repetitive motion of arms, hands, and legs.
  • Must be able to communicate via radio and phone as needed.
  • Must be able to work PM shift.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including holidays and weekends.

*This position is a full-time, on-site position with no work from home flexibility.
