JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities include teaching mechanics courses such as Statics, Strength of Materials, Intermediate Mechanics of Materials, Finite Elements, Materials Lab and other related courses OR thermal fluid courses such as Thermodynamics, Fluids Dynamics, Heat & Mass transfer, Thermal Fluid Lab, Advanced Thermal Fluid topics, and other related courses.The courses are part of the BS in Mechanical Engineering, BS in Electromechanical Engineering Technology programs and other programs in the College of Engineering. This position carries a teaching load of nine contact hours (approximately three courses) per semester.The successful candidate will conduct robust research that leads to publications in scholarly journals, will advise students and will provide service to the program, division, college, community, and profession. The successful candidate for the thermal fluid position will be an experimentalist. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants are required to have a doctorate in mechanical engineering or a closely related engineering field by August 15, 2025.
