We are seeking a proactive EHS Manager to create and implement a comprehensive safety strategy that aligns with global initiatives and adheres to EcoVadis standards. The ideal candidate will be responsible for establishing a safe work environment while minimizing environmental impact. This role involves investigating incidents such as medical treatments, First Aid, lost-time injuries, and serious near misses, utilizing Ishikawa analysis and the 5 Whys methodology to identify root causes and prevent recurrence. The EHS Manager will collaborate with safety leaders from APAC and EMEA to share best practices and drive continuous improvement in safety performance.
- Compliance with all applicable environmental, health, and safety regulations and standards, while minimizing environmental impact
- Promote a culture of safety and healthy work environment by implementing, managing, and continually improving EHS programs and procedures
Primary Responsibilities and Duties
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to all applicable safety and environmental regulations (OSHA, EPA, and local). Develop, implement, and maintain a robust safety management system. RFQ's hazardous material
- Inspections & Audits: Conduct regular safety inspections and audits, investigate accidents and incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions. Manage safety programs.
- Incident Management: Investigate and analyze incidents and near misses. Complete incident reports and maintain accurate records. Utilize safety data to identify trends, prioritize interventions, and measure the effectiveness of safety programs. Ensure compliance with OSHA recordkeeping requirements.
- Safety & Training: Develop, implement, and deliver comprehensive safety training programs for all employees. Promote a strong safety culture through employee engagement and leadership.
- Promoting a Culture of Safety: Lead safety meetings, committees, and training initiatives. Foster positive safety interactions with staff. Customer visit interaction safety orientation.
- Administrative Duties: Maintain inventory for safety and first aid supplies. Schedule annual hearing and fit testing with vendors. Manage the workers' compensation program, including claim filing and recordkeeping. Scheduling Waste removal
- On-Call Responsibilities: Be available to address safety-related emergencies and issues outside of regular working hours.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
- Educational: Bachelor's degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Certifications:
- Technical: Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, In-depth understanding of environmental regulations, Familiarity with environmental management systems, and Proficiency in hazard identification and risk assessment methodologies.
- Experience 5-year experience in EHS role
- Software: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Experience with EHS software.
- Leadership Skills: Communicator, ability to act as teacher, influence others.
