Job Overview:
Reporting directly to Sr. Manager, HR - Sales & Service, this position will provide high-quality HR support and coaching for Ingersoll Rand's Compression Systems & Services group. The role will be located in Davidson and will provide the opportunity to work closely with our Human Resources Business Partner supporting the Product Management and Services & Aftermarket, and hourly technician teams executing on HR initiatives. Additionally this person will ensure high-quality delivery and continuous improvement in areas such as Engagement, Talent Acquisition / Development, Culture, Diversity-Equity-Inclusion, Capability Building, and Organizational Effectiveness. The HR Business Partner will liaise and effectively coordinate with HR counterparts in the businesses and regions, and with colleagues in the HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) to deliver the best HR support possible. This opportunity is an in the office role.
Responsibilities:
Employee Relations:?
- Works closely with leadership, HR Business Partners and employees to improve work relationships, build positive engagement, and increase productivity and retention
- Acts as employee advocate through effective employee relations
- Creates positive change through coaching, counseling, and influencing skills
- Monitors employee climate to identify issues/trends/opportunities, proposing solutions/changes, where needed
- Drives and enables cultural transformation to support an employee ownership mentality
- Counsels management and employees regarding policies and procedures?
- Provides guidance and participation in performance improvement processes as well as employee issues, concerns or complaints
- Recruitment:? manages onboarding process including pre-employment testing, new hire paperwork, orientation, HRIS entry
- HRIS: Maintains Success Factors Human Resources Information System employee database and files.
- Communication/Training:? Deploys HR plans, processes, programs and policies aligned with business objectives, including organizational design, succession planning, talent management/acquisition, goal alignment/performance management, employee engagement and communications
- Partnership:? Collaborates with local HR business partners to share best practices, critical needs issues, and local site and sector initiatives.
- Benefits:? Assists employees with benefits issues, annual open enrollment process, wellness on-site annual screenings
- Safety:?
- Ensures EHS compliance requirements are met, including submission of Worker's Comp claims
- Assists in the identification of safety training needs and ensuring response programs are in place
- Other responsibilities as assigned or required
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years' experience in a progressive HR environment.
Core Competencies:
- Demonstrated expertise in building talent, engaging teams, driving culture change and strategic growth of businesses and organizations.
- Demonstrated success in creating an environment of trust with business partners where integrity is unquestioned.
- Demonstrated experience collaborating with HR COEs and HR Shared Services teams.
- Excellent interpersonal, influencing and communications skills.
Preferences:
- Master's degree (MBA, Master's in HR, etc.) is preferred
- Knowledge of relevant local/state/federal employment laws.
- PHR / SPHR certification.
- Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements
This position will be based at our site in Davidson, NC, with minimal anticipated travel.
