8:00 am - 5:00 pm; Monday - Friday with evening, weekend, and holiday work hours required in conjunction with events.
This position is designated as a mandatory position in the event of adverse weather conditions or other emergency operations. |
Primary Purpose of Position |
The Assistant Director for Athletics Technical Support directs, operates, and maintains the audio visual systems located in the Barnhardt Student Activity Center and other Athletic Facilities. |
Minimum Education/Experience |
Required Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and one year of experience related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
University Preferred Qualifications:
Graduation from a four year college or university and at least three years of program associate experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. |
Essential Job Duties |
The Assistant Director for Athletics Technical Supportdirects, operates, and maintains the audio visual systems located in the Barnhardt Student Activity Center and other Athletic Facilities. Including:
- Assists in the supervision of programming, operation, and maintenance of the technical systems located in the Student Activity Center/Halton Arena and other athletic facilities. This includes but is not limited to the following: LED Video Systems, Scoreboards, Content Management Systems, Sound Systems, Lighting Systems, Projectors, and Meeting Space Technologies.
- Perform troubleshooting and repairs to the software and hardware level on audio-visual systems and associated output devices.
- Coordinate specialty technology needs for Halton Arena.
- Advertise, recruit, hire, train, and evaluate a student staff to set up and operate all audio visual, sound, and lighting equipment.
- Serve as technical liaison for all major events in Halton Arena.

Graduation from a four year college or university and three years experience in sports or event facility technical services with a preference for arena and/or stadium operations. |
