The Post-Fire Forest Resilience education program collaborates with subject matter experts across CA, who aim to assist private forest landowners as they begin the process of reversing the ecological, economic, environmental, and social impacts of the 2019-2021 wildfires.

Using acquired, professional instructional design skills, the Instructional Designer 2 will aid the Post-Fire Resilience team in developing, testing, and launching an asynchronous, educational, online learning program for non-industrial private forest landowners affected by wildfire in CA. The Instructional Designer 2 will demonstrate effective communication to assist in writing and disseminating information to help create and maintain existing websites and outreach methods. Reporting and working closely with the Post-Fire Resilience Academic coordinator, the Instructional Designer 2 will analyze program content and delivery needs in determining program effectiveness of outreach and educational goals.

This position is a contract appointment that is 100% fixed, and ends March 23, 2026.

The home department for this position is the ANR Fire Network. While this position normally is based in Davis, CA, this position is eligible for hybrid flexible work arrangements for applicants living in the State of California at this time. Please note that hybrid flexible work arrangements are subject to change by the University.

Pay Scale: $28.26/hour to $38.89/hour
