SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

Reporting into the Director, Digital Marketing, the Sr Conversion Optimization Analyst (Sr Marketing Analyst) will lead the execution of A/B testing and other experimentation methods to optimize conversion rates across digital properties. The marketing analyst will provide actionable insights to identify and measure digital channel conversion rate opportunities among other marketing initiatives to deliver growth in our digital channels.

This position will have the opportunity to leads our team's investigation into the drivers of conversion on our digital properties and deliver new analytics and intelligence to drive business improvements and develop tests to deliver digital channel growth for Amtrak and its partners. The Marketing analyst will convert complex data into easily digestible tables, graphs, and reports and may present findings to management or internal clients. The ideal candidate will blend strong statistics knowledge, data visualization and SQL/Python skills with a keen business sense and have substantive experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:



  • Manage all key conversion points within marketing funnel, looking for ways to increase efficiencies.
  • Perform analysis of our existing website's KPIs to identify opportunities for UX optimization to improve conversion.
  • Develop statistical designs for A/B and multi-variate experiments on our digital properties inclusive of conversion rate optimization and select personalization tests.
  • Use quantitative methods to understand, identify trends, predict, and enhance marketing analytics processes.
  • Identify and recommend improvement opportunities to enhance performance of digital campaigns or experiences based on trends and analysis.
  • Facilitate cross-functional prioritization sessions to create a backlog of testing candidates.
  • Review digital property tagging, tracking and make suggestions for any necessary changes to digital tracking to support continued optimization efforts.
  • Assemble data and assist with analysis, interpretation, and reporting of key performance metrics (KPIs).
  • Manipulate and integrate multiple data sources for reporting.
  • Collaborate with working teams and senior management to implement reporting solutions and systems that support marketing initiatives.
  • Support department requests through participation in researching, developing, and implementing data-gathering methods.
  • Partner with customer analytics to build and activate audience segments for marketing campaigns through Salesforce Data Cloud to various activation partners (Google, Facebook, etc.)


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in a business, marketing, quantitative, or computer science field OR equivalent combination of training, education and relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.


MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:



  • A sincere desire to learn, self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Experience running A/B/N tests for ecommerce website conversion rate optimization.
  • Experience using statistical approaches like frequentist or Bayesian methodology
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Experience using SQL, Python or R.
  • Experience using data visualization software such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Experience with digital marketing platforms such as Adobe Target, Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Salesforce Marketing Cloud Personalization, Airtable, Google Campaign Manager, Google Ads, Facebook Ads, YouTube Ads and similar * Proven quantitative research, data analysis, and reporting skills.
  • Solid communication skills and ability to communicate data-driven findings to mid- and senior-level managers
  • Comfortable analyzing and manipulating large data sets (including data mining) and ability to report on/communicate findings to internal customers.
  • High attention to detail and organizational aptitude.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, and Project. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.



PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:



  • 3-6 years of relevant experience preferred
  • Advanced proficiency in statistics * Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python or R.
  • Basic understanding of web development, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Knowledge of digital analytics measurement approaches like media mix modeling, LTV, multi-touch attribution and ROI measurement
  • Experience with Google Marketing Platform, Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, Adobe Analytics or Adobe Launch.
  • Experience with Salesforce Data Cloud, Marketing Cloud Personalization.

  • Typical office environment; hybrid work arrangement (up to 2 days in office per week)

Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.

The salary/hourly range is $78,600-$101,844. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, internal equity, etc. Depending on an employee's assigned worksite or location, Amtrak may consider a geo-pay differential to be applied to the employee's base salary. Amtrak may offer additional incentive and pay programs to recognize and reward our employees, including a short-term incentive bonus based upon factors such as individual and company performance that is commensurate with the level of the position and/or long-term incentive plan compensation.
