An ecosystem is evolving around the sixth generation of wireless communication, known as "6G." 2025 will see the industry's attention to this combination of new and evolutionary wireless communications network technologies is transitioning from investigation and proof-of-concept to development and the early work on standardization. Keysight's measurement and design leadership in 5G has positioned us well for this next phase of innovation and we are looking for an experienced, knowledgeable, and connected individual to lead the 6G thought leadership program.

This will involve coordinating Keysight's engagement with the wireless ecosystem and aligning our research, development, and marketing organizations with the priorities in academia, government, standards, and industry. This will require leveraging yours and Keysight's broad and deep thought leadership in wireless communications into our market presence through engagement with consortia, public events, and marketing collateral.


Responsibilities

Reinforce and further establish Keysight Wireless Technology and Ecosystem Thought Leadership throughout the industry

  • Coordinate corporate-wide key customer, academic, government, and consortia 6G engagements: Set the strategy and manage the implementation of Keysight's engagement with global and regional wireless consortia:
    • Ensure Keysight engagement with promotional and regional wireless consortia (e.g. NextG Alliance, 6G-IA, xGMF, et al.) and participate directly where appropriate
    • Ensure Keysight engagement with appropriate standards development organizations (SDO's) in the 6G context (e.g. 3GPP, O-RAN ALLIANCE, et al.). Coordinate priorities, and contributions and engage directly where appropriate.
    • Coordinate Keysight collaborations with top Academic institutions
  • Ensure 6G strategies are in place in Overall Keysight Brand Marketing, Public Events, and Public Media
    • Work with Keysight Global Marketing to ensure consistent messaging with thought leadership in ecosystem engagement
    • Be a Keysight Spokesperson thought leader at appropriate public events

Leverage Connection to the Industry: Synthesize for Keysight planning and strategy

  • Gather, organize, summarize and regular distribution of 6G intelligence on partnerships, competitors and market/technology ecosystem
  • Central contributor to Keysight 6G annual Strategic Plans

Qualifications

Must

  • Bachelors/Master/Ph.D Degree in electrical engineering, physics or equivalent.
  • Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in planning, developing and marketing wireless communications technologies
  • In depth understanding of wireless communications market dynamics, technologies, and eco-system
  • Strong leadership skills and proven abilities in the following areas:
    • Lead complex cross-organizational projects and manage through influence
    • Engage with customers and consortia at multiple levels (e.g. technical, managerial and executive)
    • Excellent presentation and communication skills both verbal and in writing

Santa Rosa, CA Pay Range: MIN $180,000.00 - MAX $300,000.00
