We are seeking a skilled and experienced Carpenter to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials.
Key Responsibilities: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to understand project requirements. Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood, plastic, and other materials. Construct and install building frameworks, including walls, floors, and doorframes. Install fixtures such as windows, doors, stairs, trim, and hardware. Repair and/or replace drywall; install, tape, apply joint compound, texture, paint, etc. Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures. Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety regulations. Operate and maintain various hand and power tools. Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure project completion. Estimate material and time requirements for projects. Train and supervise apprentices and less experienced carpenters. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or apprenticeship preferred Proven experience as a carpenter, with a minimum of 3-5 years in the field Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical documents Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, materials, and best practices Excellent skills in measuring, cutting, and shaping materials Ability to use manual and power tools safely and effectively Valid driver's license Willingness to work at heights and in various weather conditions Flexibility to work overtime and weekends when required Certifications: Certified Lead Carpenter (CLC) is a plus OSHA 30 certification is a plus |
