Duties, Responsibilities & Other

KCI Technologies is hiring a Zoning and Permitting Coordinator to join our Wireless team. As a Zoning and Permitting Coordinator you will be responsible for the preparation and processing of zoning and permitting applications, ensuring compliance with local jurisdictional regulations, and providing administrative support to the Wireless Project Managers.

    Review site plans, surveys, and other site due diligence along with existing jurisdictional requirements in order to determine site requirements.
  • Coordinate and assist in the preparation of materials for Planning Commission and Board of Zoning Appeals meetings
  • Coordinate and assist in the preparation of materials for all permitting submittals including Building, ROW, and other local requirements.
  • Utilize project management tools to manage project requirements, due dates, and timelines.
  • Help support Project Mangers with proposals, invoicing, and other accounting activities.
  • Coordinate and track progress of applications and assist with jurisdictional request for additional information.
  • Participate in client deployment calls in order provide project updates.
  • Manage outside vendors, as needed, and communicate activities with team members and other departments.
  • Help support staff with marketing activities including but not limited to; updating client information in sales software, tracking proposals, brochures, and coordinating tradeshows and networking events.
  • Assist Project Mangers with Site Acquisition tasks including but not limited to; researching property owner information, prepare and mailing out letters, property owner communication, and completing Candidate Package

Position Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in zoning, planning, or a related area
  • Strong understanding of zoning regulations and land use planning.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and GIS software.
  • Some experience in wireless telecommunication related projects, is preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of construction practices and understanding of construction plans.
  • Must have good basic math, writing and reading abilities.
  • Must be dependable and able to complete work tasks every time with minimum oversight by supervisor.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Minimum of 2 - 4 years of experience.
  • Pre-employment drug testing is required as a condition of employment and random drug test for contracts as required.
