For our MIR and AMMEGA Accounting/Finance team, we are currently looking for an

Accounts receivable Specialist

As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will be responsible for recording, verifying, and maintaining accounts receivable information. You will report to the Accounts Receivable Manager and be part of the Finance team. In this role, you will be based in St. Louis, Missouri.

A day in the life of an Accounts Receivable Specialist can look like

Accounting:

  • Assist in monthly and annual closing.
  • Assist the Head of Finance in quarterly and annual audits.
  • Create and maintain daily, weekly and monthly reports.
  • Provide support to Head of Finance and Accounts Receivable Manager as requested.
  • Perform credit checks and review payment history on new and re-activated customers.
  • Reconcile to the bank monthly to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
  • Work with the Accounts Receivable Manager and Head of Finance to investigate, correct and follow up on any inaccuracies identified.
  • Monitor customer accounts for negative payment trends and escalate to the Accounts Receivable Manager

Customer Service:

  • Interact with customers and MIR branch employees.
  • Utilize customer service skills to contact customers regarding:
    • Open invoices.
    • Payment status on past due invoices.
    • Requesting required documents via fax, email, and telephone.
    • Setting up new customer accounts.
  • Prepare vendor setup forms for customers.
  • Maintain customer accounts, files, and invoices daily.
  • Work closely with various branch locations to investigate and resolve accounts receivable discrepancies.

Billing:

  • Submit customer invoices on portals.
  • Research and resolve customer billing disputes.
  • Research and process customer credit memos.

We are looking for you to have

  • A High School diploma.
  • Up to two (2) years of related customer service or accounting experience.
  • Solid experience with Word, Excel, and Outlook required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Leadership acumen.
