Medical Assistant Temporary Employment Program Temporary Employment 82604BR Job Summary The anticipated duration of this assignment is 3 months. Under the supervision of the Administrative Nurse, the Hospital Assistant III is responsible for patient care activities aimed at achieving positive patient outcomes. Key responsibilities include: Checking in patients and collecting vital signs and patient information as directed by healthcare providers. Coordinating clinic flow for efficient care delivery. Assisting providers with procedures, patient transport, and coordinating video visits. Facilitating the exchange of patient information with external practices. Maintaining a clean and safe patient care environment. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. UCSF departments deploy temporary employees to work on special projects, fill in for regular employees who are on vacation or leave, or to temporarily fill a vacant position during recruitment. Frequently temporary employees become successful candidates for career and limited appointment positions. Required Qualifications Certification from an approved Medical Assistant program. Current American Heart Association CPR/BLS Certification Preferred Qualifications At least 2 years of outpatient medical assistant experience. Certification from an approved Medical Assistant program. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and EPIC or similar EMR systems. High School Diploma or equivalent. Fluency in a second language.
