Get to Know Your Team: Hillcrest Hospital South is a full-service 180-bed hospital providing a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services using state-of-the-art technology in a friendly community setting. Consistent performance has helped the hospital be nationally recognized for patient safety. Responsibilities Ensure all equipment needed for procedures is disinfected, assembled, and functioning properly Prepare patients for their surgery, arrange medical equipment, and assist doctors during surgical procedures Open supplies and instruments utilizing the aseptic technique Prepare the operating room for pre-assigned cases using the physician preference Sterilize equipment and provide surgeons instruments upon their request during surgical procedures Order, replenish, and take inventory of supplies and other surgical supplies as needed Support the Operating Room as a Surgical Technologist as necessary Attend and participate in all mandatory training and meetings Qualifications Job Requirements: High School diploma or GED Possess an accredited Surgical Technologist Certification OR be willing, able, and eligible to obtain it within the first six (6) months of employment Preferred Job Requirements: 1-year experience as a Surgical Technologist
