What you'll do

As a Sr. Manager of Content Marketing, you will create multi-format content that aligns with business goals and can be used by various partners across Docusign, including but not limited to Communications, Growth Marketing, Sales and Partner Marketing.

You will create content that entertains, educates, and inspires our audiences to understand the value Docusign Intelligent Agreement Management (IAM) brings to organizations. The content you create will be used across the customer journey, from global awareness campaigns to sales plays to bite-sized social value demonstrations. You'll write compelling narratives with a clear, concise and human voice that aligns with Docusign's new brand across a variety of short and longer-form assets. You lead the end-to-end content creation process for the assets you write from editorial planning through design and publishing. You'll be responsible for understanding modern content marketing tactics, testing new formats, and acting as an expert in what will engage readers and rise above the noise.

A bit about who you are: We are looking for a writing professional who loves to dig into all aspects of the work. You'll need to be able to seek out information to support business goals, distill what you've found, contribute to content marketing strategies, and draft and edit content. You enjoy the challenge a tight deadline brings and have the wit and hard work to meet it. You love to get into the weeds and work with collaborators to create cohesive stories for our potential customers and current clients. You get joy from growing an enterprise that helps businesses and people be successful.

This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Sr. Director, Content Marketing.

Responsibility

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and participate in brainstorming sessions to develop the content strategy that best aligns with campaign goals and target audiences
  • Interview key partners and review research data and other background information to write a variety of short and longer-form assets, including social copy, video scripts, blogs, infographics, checklists, eBooks, and research summaries
  • Write clear, compelling copy that resonates with a variety of customer segments
  • Translate complex product features into clear and concise messaging that resonates with target audiences
  • Review and copyedit all newly created content assets to ensure accuracy in grammar, messaging, style, and tone of voice and optimization for SEO and newer forms of content

  • Lead the end-to-end content creation process for the assets you write, reviewing drafts with subject matter authorities and owners to ensure accuracy, handing off to brand creative for design and publishing final assets to the website and sales portal
  • Work with campaign orchestrators to review content performance as part of campaign reporting
  • Look for innovative ways to write copy that improves our ability to resonate with our audience and drive desired actions

Job Designation

Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation)

What you bring

Basic

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • 8+ years of copywriting experience, preferably in technology or B2B SaaS
  • Portfolio of writing samples
  • Experience translating technical and business concepts into clear, engaging language

Preferred

  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Proactive, organized, and able to thrive in a matrixed environment
  • Experience crafting both high-level brand stories and messaging centered around generating results
  • Passion for innovative new content formats, experience using Gen AI to augment the writing process
  • Experience optimizing content for SEO and AI consumption
  • Familiarity with publishing in a CMS, content workflow tools (e.g., Kapost, Optimizely, Highspot) and Canva
  • Experience writing for a legal audience or with contract-related technologies
  • High emotional intelligence

Wage Transparency

Pay for this position is based on a number of factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations:

California: $122,300.00 - $190,650.00 base salary

Illinois and Colorado: $116,500.00 - $160,150.00 base salary

Washington and New York (including NYC metro area): $116,500.00 - $168,200.00 base salary

This role is also eligible for bonus, equity and benefits.
