Senior Director, Technical Product Management

Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Director of Technical Product Managementto lead the technical product direction for our development teamsfocused on the Kepware product line. This role serves as the primary liaison between development and product management, ensuring that business objectives are aligned with technical implementations.The ideal candidate will be excited to gain a deep understanding of our business vision and collaborate closely with Engineering to design functionality and strategyto achieve that vision. With thorough knowledge of roadmap priorities and backlog progress, they will effectively identify obstacles and communicate risks to the business.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and mentor a team of Technical Product Managers that provide product expertise, and manage the product backlog, for multiple development teams
  • Collaborate with product management toestablish product roadmap and release goals, and provide feedback on feature definition
  • Collaborate with Engineering and UX to architect functionality and set the overall vision for the development teams, ensuring high-quality, sustainable outcomes
  • Develop and maintain future product backlog with feedback from Product Management
  • Collaborate with Engineering to prioritize technical debt and enablers in support of product vision and quality standards
  • Supervise development/refinement of product backlog through product lifecycle
  • Collaborate with release management to establish release dates
  • Ensure inter-dependencies between teams and products are being managed across functions
  • Proactively assesses process efficiency and drive improvements

Skills and Knowledge:

  • In-depth knowledge of agile methodology for the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Ability to drive product development features and functions towards desired business value
  • Familiarity with the technology utilized in product development
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the capacity to engage, influence, and inspire partners and stakeholders, fostering collaboration and alignment

Experience:

  • At least 10 years in software or agile product development, including 3 in a management capacity
  • Experience managing backlogs for multiple teams in a TPM, Product Owner, or similar role

Minimum Qualifications:

Education - Bachelor's degree
