Regulatory Supervisor

This position will support our Trachte facility in Madison, WI. As a part of nVent, Trachte is a leading manufacturer of highly engineered metal buildings for industrial and commercial applications. Today, nVent connects and protects our customers with inventive electrical solutions. We design, manufacture, market, install and service high performance products and solutions for mission-critical equipment, buildings and essential processes. Offering both prefabricated and on-site building capabilities, framed and frameless building construction types, and products ranging from build kits and modular units to fully engineered integrated buildings.

In this position, you will get to:
Lead a team of Compliance Coordinators.
Manage the relationship between Trachte and certifying agencies including acting as a liaison with Project Management, Professional Engineers, Third Party Agencies and State Regulatory Departments.
Negotiate cost, timing and technical requirements with external firms and agencies and manage the process to obtain desired certifications.
Actively participate on Project Teams, and provide certification and testing requirements from applicable Codes & Standards.
Research and analyze project documents and agency requirements based on review and interpretation of applicable Codes & Standards.
Prepare plans with project teams that will ensure projects meet state requirements for certification.
Oversee inspections performed by Third Party or State Agencies needed to obtain the state required labels.
Collect, collate, and maintain relevant supporting documentation and prepare the submittal packages needed to obtain state certifications.
Ensure Trachte products comply and remain in compliance to applicable standards and certifications.
Develop training relevant to state requirements and conduct internal cross-functional training.
Participate in, and manage, audits performed by outside agencies in order to maintain or obtain state certifications.
Respond to all non-conformances from agency audits conducted at all of the Trachte approved manufacturing locations, and communicate results to management.
Participate in relevant codes and standards development and provide regular reports to the organization.
Provide internal regulatory expertise for relevant project approvals. Maintain understanding of relevant codes and standards and interpretations by reading, interpreting, and applying codes and standards.
Direct outside activities such as regulatory consulting or other third party testing.

You have:
Bachelor degree or equivalent experience (5 years plus) in similar role and industry.
5+ years experience working with external certification or regulatory agencies, such as UL, CSA, A660.
Familiar with state codes and standards.
Self-starter, and able to work with limited direction
Ability to comprehend, interpret and communicate complex Codes & Standards requirements
Willing and able to negotiate with internal project teams and external approvals agencies in order to achieve business goals
Experienced with Microsoft Office Tools
Experience navigating and finding information in ERP and Product Data Management (PDM) Systems.
nVent Hoffman Products knowledge a plus
Up to 10% travel
Ability to adapt and thrive with changing business environment and circumstances.
