Job Description

EBAD is looking for a self-motivated Human Resources Generalist with a bias for action to join the team in Simsbury, CT. This role reports to the Human Resources Manager.

The HR Generalist has both tactical and strategic responsibilities for their client group, focusing primarily on employee engagement, retention, and performance management. The HR Generalist partners with the HR Manager to support the business strategy and achieve key performance indicators.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Manage client group of individual contributors and front-line managers in a generalist capacity.

  • Participate in interviews to ensure client group is advancing top talent individuals who align with our Core Values. Coach the team through misalignment.

  • Assist hiring managers with onboarding program to ensure positive new hire experiences.

  • Support front-line managers with performance management. Partner to develop top talent individuals and address underperformance.

  • Support employees with robust development planning. Facilitate development planning workshops.

  • Address employee relations issues through appropriate corrective action, performance improvement plans, or misconduct investigations.

  • Drive continuous improvement efforts with client group focused on increasing engagement and retention of employees.

  • Facilitate the new graduate rotational program for engineers.

  • Manage university relations, including summer intern program and fall recruiting.

  • Conduct stay interviews and proactively gather feedback from client group. Leverage this information to drive proactive retention efforts.

  • Facilitate leave of absence program for client group by guiding employees and ensuring alignment with payroll.

  • Facilitate the termination process and complete exit interviews.

  • Lead and support special HR projects and other assigned duties as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field

  • 3+ years' experience in an HR role with employee relations focus

  • Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

  • Must have exceptional oral, written and interactive communication skills

  • Professional maturity and integrity in handling confidential information
