We are hiring a Materials Management Associate for our printing plant team in Eagan, Minnesota. As a Materials Management Associate, you will be responsible for performing tasks relating to warehousing, order fulfillment, inventory control, and returns while utilizing ERP and other systems to ensure the accuracy of inventory and delivery of a quality product to the customer. For this role, you would also be eligible for $2,500 signing bonus upon being in the role for 90 days.

Hours of Work - Eagan, Minnesota

  • 2nd shift - 2:30 pm - 10:30 pm
  • Occasional overtime up to 4 hours per day and occasional weekend shifts

About the Role: In this opportunity as a Materials Management Associate, you will be responsible for:

  • Monitoring, stocking and transporting materials or finished goods to designated area or assigned storage location.
  • Inventorying materials and finished goods and maintaining records, rejecting unsatisfactory items as needed.
  • Safely operating powered material handling equipment in the course of completing work tasks.
  • Tasks may include one or more of the following:
  • Utilizes ERP (e.g., SAP, MII) and/or radio frequency (RF) equipment to obtain information or enter transactions regarding material/product movement activities.
  • Picks, sorts or packs picked items in appropriate packaging; ensuring that the product arrives to the customer in quality condition.
  • Researches and processes returns, accurately recording information in ERP and determining whether product should return to stock based on quality.
  • Provides data to internal departments as requested.
  • Accurately documents activities on Tier Boards.
  • May operate 2-way radio for communication.
  • Performs daily maintenance and changes batteries if needed.
  • Actively participates in company safety program to ensure compliance and contribute to safety culture.
  • Meets or exceeds established quality and productivity standards utilizing standard work procedures.
  • Implements, performs and sustains housekeeping procedures to maintain work area and equipment.
  • Recommends process improvements; implements process improvements.
  • Participates in project teams as needed.
  • Other duties as apparent or assigned.

About you:

Education: (minimum requirements)

  • High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • 1-2 years' experience
  • Some experience working in a shipping, receiving and/or warehouse environment
  • Preference for experience with enterprise resource systems (e.g., SAP)
  • Preference for previous lift truck experience
  • Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, equipment displays, operating and maintenance instructions, and production orders
  • Able to be certified and operate power material handling equipment
  • Basic math skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Able to work overtime and flex schedule as required to meet customer demand
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods of time
  • Able to send and receive oral communications via 2-way radios
  • Demonstrated ability to work well independently or in a team environment
  • Able to work Monday - Friday from 2:30pm - 10:30pm

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The base compensation range varies across locations. Eligible office location(s) for this role include one or more of the following: Eagan, MN; Ann Arbor, MI; Richmond, VA; Rochester, NY. The base compensation range for the role in any of those locations is $31,300 - $58,100. This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance. Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs.
